How to talk to others about your mental health struggles can in itself be a struggle that causes greater anxiety.

Being honest with yourself about your feelings and with others is a key step in getting better.

We created a script with talking points to use if speaking with spouse, friend or physician about your mental health struggles.

WHO TO TELL:

You do not owe your truth to everybody. It is helpful to tell a trusted friend, family or medical provider. Consider sharing with someone who will actively listen, non judgemental and curious to learn about your experience. like any other physical health concern, people experiences symptoms that must be identified for proper diagnosis and treatment of a condition, thus sharing your symptoms with others is A key step to feeling better. if you had an infection, the longer you waited with a fever and body aches the larger the issue becomes, similarly the longer you wait to address your mental health symptoms, the longer you will endure unwanted emotions.
